BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1981 in Lisbon, Portugal, Alexandre Correia was thrilled with everything that involved “creation” from an early age!
His first years of life in the neighborhood of Olivais Sul - Lisbon, filled with a lot of creativity and typical effervescence of a full childhood, were the conditions that shaped his restless soul as an "artist".
Painting, drawing, clay, plaster, collages, cuttings... Everything served to satisfy this child's needs for expression.
At the age of 13, he begins a new stage in his life. - A commitment to draw every day.
Obviously he couldn't, but that resulted in an exponential hunger to "create" and a path of empirical experience that would gradually improve his works.
It was in Secondary Education that he began his specialized training in Arts and, therefore, gave the "passion" the "technique" that was missing. First in the "Arts and Crafts" course, where he exploded with his creativity and then in "Equipment Design", where he improved the line in technical drawing.
The latter, already António Arroio Artistic Secondary School between 1998 and 2001 - School considered by many to be the best arts school in the country, inspired by the concept of the German avant-garde school "Bauhaus".
After his school career, he chose to enter the "active life" without ever exercising artistic activity as a profession. However, he never stopped training in the area, where the Drawing and Model Drawing Courses stand out in the Ar.Co - Center for Art and Visual Communication, in Lisbon and History of Art, through the Municipality of Odivelas.
Also in the digital field, he tried to keep up with trends, attending the image processing course - PHOTOSHOP, at NHK in Lisbon and technical drawing - AUTOCAD and AUTOCAD 3D, the latter in Castelo Branco.
Disengage all the spoils, leave a legacy and bring to light all the dedication of a person who has always dreamed of "living in art and art" is the purpose of this site.
Currently with less activity, it is fundamentally dedicated to commissioned portraits, in graphite pencil.
If the perfectionism inherited from portraits is one of his main characteristics, versatility is another that identifies him, both in themes, materials and supports.
He has experience in live drawing, has some individual and group exhibitions, has illustrated literary works, painted sets for theaters, among other specific works and collaborations on request.

Among the painters he most admires are Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee, Edward Hopper, António da Silva Porto, among others. Leonado Da Vinci, is for him, on a superhuman level!
