In addition to the taste for drawing, Alexandre Correia discovers his poetic vein in adolescence.
 

He confesses that in his youth he was never a great reader. The poetry he learned during his academic career also never aroused his interest.

 

However, in 1998 at the age of 17, when he saw the film, which he confessed was "the film of his life", The Doors", by Oliver Stone, the way he comes to see life changes radically.

The eccentric Jim Morrison, the band's lead singer shows this teenager how free will could be pushed to the limit! But more than a rock star, James Douglas Morrison insisted on being recognized  as an "American poet".

Therefore, Jim Morrison is his great inspiration in writing and for life, and the lyrical nonsense comes from him.

 

To balance the verses, the poetess from Calipo Florbela Espanca arrives afterwards to wonderfully influence him  with his unbridled romanticism.

A cosmic coincidence - both were born on December 8th...  Florbela, ironically, is born and dies on the same date.

Alexandre Correia, amateur poet, by the way, has already written close to 300 poems, separated by 9 books "home-made". All private editions, prepared as a whole by the author, namely writing, editing, printing and binding. This, with the exception of occasional collaborations in introductions, conclusions and graphic editions.

 

We can say that her writing is jovial, romantic, and sometimes even hilarious! 

His dream is to one day see the book with his best poems published and leave his legacy.
